Freshman Academy
Freshman Academy will meet from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on the following dates:
June 10 – June 13 (Monday – Thursday)
June 17 – June 20 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) No class on 19th
June 24 - June 27 (Monday – Thursday)
Freshman Academy is an educational opportunity offered this summer at Rosemount High School for incoming 9th grade students. Curriculum includes basic reading, writing and math skills, field trips, group activities and service learning opportunities that will help students make a smooth transition to grade 9 at RHS.

Session Dates
- Session 1 June 10-26 from 8-11:15
- Session 2 July 8-24 from 8-11:15
Classes Offered
English | Social Studies | Math | Science | Wellness | Ess I + II
- Summer credit recovery is intended for students seeking to recover credit in core classes.
- Students may register for up to four classes per session. (DEPENDING ON SCHEDULE)
- Attendance is mandatory for all classes. Students are expected to be on-time for classes every day. Any missed time for any reason must be made up. DO NOT schedule appointments, vacations, etc. During summer school dates/times.
- All regular school rules are in effect during summer school.
- Classroom locations will be available on the first day of each session.
- Students may park on campus in any student lot.
- Cell phones/head phones/ air pods and other similar items: Most teachers will collect cell phones at the beginning of class. Students who refuse to comply will NOT be allowed to attend summer school.
- Each class is worth the equivalent of 1.0 credit (equal to one trimester course during the school year).

Transportation will be provided for students who live in the RHS attendance area. Bus stop time and location will be communicated prior to the start of the session.
