Rosemount High School Dance Department

Dance is a way to find yourself and lose yourself...all at the same time.

The dance department provides opportunities for all students to explore the art of dance. Whether you have never had a formal dance class or have studied dance most of your life, we have a class for you. As a part of the dance department students take class daily.  Units of study consist of Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Lyrical/Ballet, Modern (Limon, Horton techniques), Social Dance Forms, Composition, Improvisation, Dance History & Criticism.  During the year we have multiple guest artists, field trips, and performance opportunities.

Also, dancers have the opportunity to travel with the dance department on both domestic and international trips.  This is not required but is an amazing experience for those interested.  The dance department has traveled to Chicago, Hawaii, Spain, Italy & Puerto Rico.
